Who turned up the heat?

Wow. We know Alfred Wainwright claimed, “there no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing,” but dang, if it isn’t hot these days. Yeah, everyone loves to be outside by a cool body of water on days like today, but what are some options that don’t involve a plunge in the pool. Lucky for us the Triangle has some pretty cool options…if we do say so ourselves. Here is a list of some of the shadiest and most summer-friendly playgrounds and splash pads around. Always remember your gear: hats, sunscreen, and plenty of water.

  1. Blue Jay Park
  2. John Chavis  Memorial Park
  3. Mordecai Mini Park
  4. Moore Square
  5. Lake Crabtree County Park
  6. Jack Smith Park
  7. Kids Together Playground
  8. Lazy Daze Playground
  9. Trinity Park Playground
  10. Cedar Falls Park
